_/TUESDAY _/JUNE _/24

June 24, 2008

A new day, a new beginning. Something coming over me to reclaim the lands that have been promised to me before my first breath in my mothers womb. We all must stand up each morning. It’s the first thing we do. But what we miss sometimes is kneeling our heart before The King. When we look out on the new day that The Lord has made, it is something to rejoice about. My wife asked me this morning how am I so awake in the morning. I couldn’t put into words the answer, but I feel a renewal each morning that lets me know it’s okay to be alive and not to envy sleep. (Even though my body wishes it were back under those covers, wrapped up, enjoying more rest.)

I want to extend a gratitude to the Body of Christ for being there for me. I still have reservations and judgements in my heart that are being refined in the fire, but the Love of God in the Body is what let’s me know He cares. There is no condemnation to those who are in Christ. And neither death or life can, could, or ever will separate us from the love that is in Christ Jesus. (I was watching The Simpsons movie over the past weekend and near the end when everyone thinks they are about to die Flanders is telling his kids when they get to heaven to call Jesus “Mr. Christ”. I thought that was freakin hilarious.)

This is a new thing. A new step on a journey to let go of the past, to let my mind be transformed and let my soul be refined in the fire. (As I was vacuuming last night I noticed the words written on the vacuum “Double Sided” and that made me think of the Word of God being a double-edged sword. Then I noticed after those words came the word “Clean”. And that made me think of how when we are washed with the Word of God we are made clean.) It’s amazing what God uses to remind us of Him.
